Our Little Sock Monkey

Baby Jacob is growing up so fast. This past Halloween, Mimi dressed him up as a sock monkey. I know I am biased, but he was definetly the cutest sock monkey ever!

My Park-Park

I am excited because Parker has decided to come and work for the company I work for. It will be so neat to have him near, even if I don't get to see him (he'll be working in a different department). I know he will do an incredible job and make me proud. I think this job will give him some experience that will carry him a little further in life. I love you Parker! Dear Daddy, Tomorrow is your birthday… so I want to share my inner-most thoughts about you, with you. I am blessed with the best Daddy a girl could ask for. You have ALWAYS been there for me. You have always loved me, even when I wasn't so lovable. You are like my best friend. I love talking to you every day. One morning this week you called me when I got in my car to drive to work and we talked like we do most days...a little about everything that's going on in the world. I realized that our conversations mean so much to me. I am so fortunate to have a father like you. I love you more than words can express and I have NO doubt that you have unconditional love for me, the kind of love that fathers’ should have. Don't get me wrong, you have your faults like any other man, only they are minimized by all the beautiful characteristics only God can instill in a man. I’m honored to have been named after you. I have so many memories of me, you, and Jodie from a very young age. You taught us so many things... how to ride a bike, water ski, fish, driving a car (a stick), you took us hunting, and thousands of other things that have made me into the woman I am today. You spent so much time with me and Jodie, because you WANTED to, not because you were expected to. To this very day, you do everything in your power to keep me and Jodie close. You are always there to offer encouragement when I need it, and sometimes you still scold me, because you have always wanted nothing but the best for me. Summer

Summer is my favorite time of the year! I don't mind the hot temps at all. The feeling of being on the beach, hearing the waves roll in, and smelling the salt are next to none....Wish I could bottle that feeling!

Home Sweet Home

I guess this is the time of year when evryone feels motivated to do spring cleaning and home improvements. Ricky worked so hard in our yard today. He cut limbs out of the trees, mowed, and edged. It is looking so good. Our place has so much potential. The bright new growth is a reminder of the blessings God lays before us year after year.

This past weekend we did a SpongeBob Promo at the mall. It surpassed all of our expectations! Jacob enjoyed it too! Thanks to Parker, my sister Lisa, and my friend Alisha, it was a huge success!

Footprints In The Sand

Recently my Mama was diagnosed with the horrible 'C'. It's one of those things that you pray to never be faced with. For my family, this is now a cruel reality. The many faces of this disease challenge a family to show their fighting spirit and will to live. In a time like this, it's tempting to question God. He brought us to it, so he'll bring us through it. I don't always understand God's plan but I trust in him. Right now, there is only one set of footprints in the sand...

I'd Like To Buy The World A Coke!

I have been in the Coke Rewards program for about 2 years now. The way it works, there is a code inside each Coke cap. Coke has a webite: www.mycokerewards.com. You enter the codes in and you can choose free merchandise from their online rewards catalog. It's really very simple. When I say free~ I mean it's 100% free. Even the shipping is totally free. I have gotten some really neat things so far...MP3 player, Ipod speakers,Ipod pillow, Blockbuster items, shirts, gift cards, and one of my favorites, an umbrella.
As you can see by the photo above, I got a cupcake pan, & carrying case.
It's really neat, so neat that it motivated me to bake cupcakes.

I Found Love...AGAIN!!!

If you know me, then you already know that I have a "Shoe Fettish". I love shoes...high heels to be more precise. I don't think that I will ever get to a point where I could honestly say, "I have enough shoes". They make me happy =-) This may sound crazy to some, but on a really bad day- a great pair of shoes could turn the whole day around. When I think about going somewhere special, the 1st thing that comes to mind is...What shoes shall I wear?? They may cost $5.00 or $50.00. Price doesn't matter. The important thing is...are they they the bomb-diggety shoes?
Most women find shoes to match their outfit. I find an outfit to match my shoes.
Last Fiday, my husband declared the day..."Jamie's Day".
Naturally we went shopping and found the shoes in the photo above.
I have a wonderful hubby and another great pair of shoes...LIFE IS GOOD!!!

Sniff...sniff

I have been fighting a terrible cold for the past week. It's been just bad enough to make me miserable. In addition to my cold, I have injured my left shoulder, and I have no idea how I did it!
Anyway, I've been in my PJ's all weekend. Hopefully tomorrow I will be feeling much better =-)

A Baby Boy

A baby boy was created
by the hand of God above
to give the world the sweetest touch
of tenderness and love.
With the softness of a whisper,
God made baby Jacob's skin
and then designed two trusting eyes
to put the starlight in.
With giggles like a waterfall
and breezes passing by,
God made this baby's laughter
to hear forever after.
God gave the world a precious gift
more dear and pure than gold,
with little toes to play with
and tiny hands to hold
then brought into the sunshine
a precious baby boy.

I wonder if my niece Lizzie knew what a gift she was giving us all when she gave birth to Baby Jacob? I can't imagine this world without him in it. I love him more with each passing day. He has been a blessing to me since the day he arrived, and he has touched my heart in places I didn't even know existed.
