The Wild Life

Today Ricky & I went canoeing on the Lumber River.  We had a blast.  Sometimes we tend to take the local scenery that God gave us, for granted.  The Lumber River is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! See for yourself...

Little Baby Jacob

Have I mentioned how much we love this little boy? Surely he has big shoes to fill inside my heart since Parker has used up most of the space :-) But he's doing a pretty fine job!
Talk about putting your foot in your mouth!!

Father's Are A Blessing

Father's Day is an wonderful occasion celebrated across the world with immense splendor and grandeur. Usually commemorated on the third Sunday of June, it honors all the fathers of the world, thereby celebrating fatherhood. Next to mothers, fathers are the most important people in any child's life. Hence, this occasion gives us a chance to express and convey our heartiest wishes and sincere feelings for our fathers.
My Dad - James Greenwood

Ricky's Dad - Sonny Parker
Ricky and I are both blessed to have such wonderful fathers and to still have them here with us.  They are 2 great men that we love dearly.  So many people today must be so sad because they are not as fortunate.  May we never take them for granted.

Black Water Rhythm & Blues Band

We went downtown on the plaza again to hear another Alive After Five.  The band was GREAT! Probably my favorite group so far.

For The Love of a Shoe

Most people that know me, know that I have a massive shoe fetish.  I really LOVE high heel shoes.  I am asked on a pretty regular basis "How do you walk in those"?  I don't mind that question because it truly is an acquired talent that I am immensely proud of. I'm sure one day (maybe in another 40 years) I will be sorry for the abuse to my little piggies but I just believe it will have been worth it.  At that time I will start shopping for flip-flops.

For The Love of a Shoe
By: J Parker

Shiny and high
My oh my
Perfectly strappy
This makes me happy
 Wonderful straps
With no missing taps
Some of each color
But many in black
For it’s a fact
You can’t have too many
Matching so lovely
Artfully heeled
This love is sealed
Please don’t pout
‘Cause there is no doubt
I love this shoe

Baby Jacob

I know, I know! I have a lot of pictures of Jacob...but he's so adorable that I think he truly deserves bunches of Face Time...

Another FUN Day With Jacob

Yesterday Ricky and I shared the day with Jacob.  As always, we had a wonderful day and time flew.  We love this little fella so much!  He is a joy to have around.  He is growing so fast.  Soon he'll be a whole year old! He is a very special little boy and he is the spitting image of his Mommy.
We took him to the Dixie Drive-In and of course to Wal-Mart.
Seriously, this baby rarely cries at all.  I guess he has already learned to get his way with those eyes...it works on me every time!
I always feel a little sad inside when it's time for him to go home...
Checking to see what Aunt Fannie swept under this rug!

Yummy! Pink Lemonade!
