Hurricane Party at Eisenhower Estates

My sister Lisa had a great idea...A Hurricane Party!  I guess it's a good idea to make the best of a potentially bad situation, so we all headed over to her house for some GREAT chicken bog...and a good time.  My family is so awesome to hang out with!
One a serious note, I pray that everyone, everywhere will be safe throughout the storm.

You Are My Sunshine

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy,
When skies are gray.
You'll never know dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

The other night dear,
As I lay sleeping,
I dreamed I held you in my arms.
But when I awoke dear,
I was mistaken,
So I hung my head and cried.

I miss you Parker...so much.

Caller #8

Okay...go ahead and laugh at me! I am a total sucker for a radio contest!  I have actually won a few times in the past...concert tickets, etc.  Well the radio station I listen to (Q98) has a contest going on now to win a Jeep like the one above. It is a summer-long contest in which they give away 98 keys and 1 of those keys is to a 2011 Jeep Wrangler.  Today I finally won a key!  I kid you not, I have called almost everyday this entire summer trying to win!  I was starting to think it just wasn't gonna happen.
Today was my lucky day...I was caller #8!!!! I also won a gas card (HOORAY).
On September 12th each person with a key is supposed to show up at a specified place in Fayetteville to find out if they are the winner.  Keep your fingers crossed!  I hope it will be ME!!

Weekend With Jacob Alexander

This past weekend Ricky and I kept Jacob for the weekend.  Our plans were to leave Friday for the beach and come back home on Saturday.  We had planned to attend a birthday party for a friend on Saturday, but as it turned out, we didn't make it back until Sunday.  I hope my friend Nadia won't be too upset with me about that :-0  I will have to make it up to her somehow!
Jacob and I spent Saturday at my parents beach house while Ricky went fishing.  We had  fun and exciting one-on-one time.  Being with Jacob reminded me of when Parker was just a little baby and how fast those times flew.  I cherish the memories I have of Park-Park when he was a little guy who loved to snuggle with his Mommy.
Jacob is growing up so fast and has become quite a handful!  It is truly amazing how much he changes from week to week.
He has been a wonderful ray of sunshine in all of our lives and I am so thankful that God blessed our family with such a beautiful gift.
Today I have been suffering from Jacob Withdrawal....
On the way to the beach

Bath time...in the sink, a perfect fit!

Bert's bee's for the baby.

OMGosh...how handsome!

All tuckered out from a day of playing with Aunt Fannie.

Anyone need a ride?

No words needed...

Chillin, with Uncle Ricky...

There's No Place Like Home

Tonight Ricky and I had dinner with my parents.  My Mama cooked one of my favorites...salmon patties!  They were soooo good!  Plus as a bonus, my sister Lisa, my niece Elizabeth, and Baby Jacob were there also.  It was a nice evening.  I took a few pictures of the home they still live in, that I grew up in...

This is the beautiful home where I grew up...my parents have this big house all to themselves now!
