Am I Hazardous To Baby Jacob's Health???

I went over to Baby Jacob's the other night for a visit.  I had been missing him really bad and just needed some of his sweet kisses.  Well in the process of putting him up on my shoulders for a piggy back ride, I bumped his head on the ceiling fan. I'm sure it hurt him because he cried in a way that I just knew.  This might not have been so bad if I hadn't already done it several months back (NOT GOOD).  Therefore, I am known as "Aunt Fannie"...a nickname I'm sure will stick for many years to come.  I love this little boy with all of my heart and would never intentionally hurt him.  With that being said, I will  definitely be much more careful.  I have promised my sister to never let it happen again.  The next day, I decided to bring Jacob a little gift....A HARD HAT!!

On a lighter note...I found out tonight that Jacob loves bath-time!  I watched his Mommy give him a bath and I couldn't resist...I had to get the Kodak out...

 

  

A Tribute To A Wonderful Friend

I spent today with my dear, dear friend Mackenzie.  Where do I start?!!  We had such a great time. I think it was just what the doctor ordered.  I realized how much I have missed spending time with her.  She is such an incredible person.  I always feel  so relaxed with her.  I know she loves me in spite of all my many flaws and I love that I can TOTALLY be myself around her.  She always laughs at my corney jokes (I love that)!
She has a beautiful home, and I mean BEAUTIFUL!! We went to eat lunch together.  It was a long lunch but it flew by so fast.  Even our waitress seemed to be entertained.  I also went with her to pick her beautiful daughter, Emma, up at school.  She is a such dedicated mom to that little angel and it is so evident.
She lives near Wilmington and she made it worth every mile I had to drive.
Mackenzie, THANK YOU for being the great friend that you are.  I am so blessed to have you in my life. I promise not to wait so long to come visit you again =-}

Seasons Change

Seasons Change- People change.

Day will make a way for night....summer will make a way for fall.

Everything is changing so quickly.  Even the air feels strangely different.

I long for the warmth of days gone by.

 In past years, fall has always affected me in a weird kind of way. It is sort of like letting loose of something I don’t want to see go.  Sad, but once the changes of fall are fully in place…I will be able to look around, smile, and enjoy the beautiful scenery again.

I took these pictures at the beach today. God gave us some amazing scenery.  I hope you will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed my nice long stroll.  It was a good time to reflect.  This place is beautiful but I will have to find my paradise within.

Flying Fish

I went fishing Saturday with my parents.  We had a great time.  We caught quite a variety of odd fish (flying fish, toad fish, lizard fish...yuck!).  We had a ball.  They left yesterday to go home...miss them already =-{

Tonight was the drawing for the new Jeep...remember...the contest I won on the radio about a month ago??
Well...I guess you can tell by my title that I wasn't the grand prize winner.  HOWEVER...I wasn't a TOTAL LOSER!  I won a "Prize Pack" which included Cd's, T-shirts, a hat, drink holder...etc.etc.
My escort was my handsome son Parker (guess I'm a DOUBLE Winner).  We had so much fun.  We laughed so hard (and I mean belly laughs). We ended up on Fort Bragg because I took a wrong turn on the way out.  This probably isn't the best place to wonder in on...considering the 9/11 10-year anniversary just took place.  But...the guard that escorted us off actually had a good since of humor about my mistake.
It reminded me just how much I have missed laughing and spending time with Parker!  I'm so glad to have had this time with him!!  I truly am a Grand Prize Winner even if I didn't drive away in a brand new Jeep!

Parker Withdrawal

Lately I have been really suffering from "Parker Withdrawal".  Even though he is only about a half hour away...he may as well be 5 hours away!  So often we take for granted the things in our lives that  are right there everyday.  Parker has always spent a lot of time with his  paternal family, but this is the 1st time that he actually does not live with me.  I miss him so much!  Yesterday he sent me a spontaneous text saying how much he loves me!  It made my day week! I love that boy more than words can say!!

A Message To Parker:
